Fans have long wondered what happened to Ahsoka after she left the Jedi Order near the end of the Clone Wars, and before she re-appeared as the mysterious Rebel operative Fulcrum in Rebels. Finally, her story will begin to be told. Following her experiences with the Jedi and the devastation of Order 66, Ahsoka is unsure she can be part of a larger whole ever again. FINISHED THIS BOOK! I can know OFFICIALLY¬†say that I’ve read my first Star Wars book, and I LOVED IT!

*Dabs about this accomplishment*

One of the reasons I liked a TON about this book was the character, Ashoka. While she was bland in the show, she was interesting and resourceful in this book. The way the author writes this story is heartbreaking, dramatic, and AMAZING.

The setting was bland, and the ending felt rushed. One of the reasons it felt bland was because the town was Ashoka stayed in for most of the book, wasn’t that interesting. There was nothing engaging or attractive about the landscape, and it didn’t serve its purpose. If it did anything, it detracted from the story and stopped it from achieving greatness too early in the story.

The ending wasn’t satisfying, at all. My reasoning behind this is simple. We spend the WHOLE book trying to get a light-saber to fight the “evil one”, the bad guy shows up, and she kills him with a gun. SERIOUSLY? It didn’t deliver its promises, and that annoyed me, BADDD!

Overall, this wasn’t my favorite read, but it was still pretty good. I’d recommend it for people who’ve seen the Star Wars TV show, or any of the movies. It’s worth your time, and you’ll enjoy every second of it.
