So I decided to read the Fantastic Beasts Screenplay. Wasn’t expecting much after seeing the movie. Instead, I was a bit surprised. As I was reading I could sometimes, visualize the shots exactly from certain parts of the movie. It was pretty cool! While I wasn’t a huge fan of the script format I did enjoy re-reading the movie script and remembering what I watched a little while ago. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND WATCHING THE MOVIE FIRST THOUGH! I can’t imagine what it would be like reading this before seeing the movie. I would’ve been so lost and confused and my imagination would make up something totally random and the story wouldn’t be as good. Although I kept on having this reaction whenever the book would forget to describe something. (THE DOME)
The LACK Of DESCRIPTION WAS SSSSUUUPPPPEEERRR ANNOYING! I was severely disappointed for this part, especially because I was curious about what JK’s thought were on certain scenes. It also would’ve been nice to notice more things or be able to see other references that we wouldn’t have caught if we weren’t watching the movie. I don’t know, a good reason for fans to buy this script book?
In conclusion, characters were great, Setting was great. Story was great. While It would be nice to have I would recommend NOT to buy this screenplay and wait till the movie comes out on DVD or borrow it from the library.
