My Top 3 Favorite Books of 2016

Hey Guys,

So today I realized something, We are almost done and approaching the end of the year with full steam, it ends in like 2 weeks! Can you believe it?  It’s so weird guys, this year has flown by. (Takes a moment to think about how old I am) Anyway, since we’re approaching the end of the year and quietly counting down the days till Christmas, I thought I’d let you know what books I loved this year!

Disclaimer: The books that I mention don’t have to be released this year, I just have had to read them in the year 2016!

Withought further ado. Let’s talk about my top 3 FAVORITE Books of 2016!

Cinder by: Marissa Meyer

If you haven’t heard about the amazing series by Marissa Meyer you are HIGHLY MISSING OUT! This year I decided to start this series because I’ve been meaning to read it, I’ve just never felt I had time. BUT I CHANGED IT THIS YEAR!  (Sorta read the whole series in 2 weeks)The first book in this series is Cinder, The second is Scarlet, the third, Cress, and the fourth and final book, Winter. Basically these stories are fairy tale retelling’s with the first book, Cinder being a Cinderella retelling. The second book Scarlet is partly a Beauty and the Beast retelling with a sprinkle of Little Red Riding hood. The third book Cress is Rapunzel and the fourth is Winter. (Which is Snow White If you can’t figure that one out 😉

But their’s a twist, All the books in the series are Space Themed. Cinderella is an Android. Scarlet is a pilot. Cress is a hacker, and Winter is the Queen of people who live on the moon. I won’t tell you anything else because it’s best to go into this series as blind as possible. + I gave ALL of the books a five-star rating, but this series is probably my fav of the year!

2. Harry Potter and The Cursed Child

If you don’t know, JK Rowling had two directors write a script for the 8th Harry Potter. While I wasn’t a huge fan of the idea, I thought “Hey, It’s Harry Potter, I’ll buy it.” So I did. While I did not love it, (Mainly because it was in script form) and (JK Rowling never wrote it) I really loved the story. Don’t get me wrong, This book was amazing! One of my most anticipated books of the year, While I do recommend that you’ve read the Harry Potter books before reading this, It is NOT necessary to have read them before reading. The movies would suffice enough if you chose to start it from reading it their.

3. Legend by: Marie Lu

I loved this book so much! I read it at the start of the year and couldn’t put it down. I SUCK at describing this book so I’m gonna just leave the book summary below. But know that I love this book and I can’t even begin how to describe how much fun it is.

Summary: What was once the western United States is now home to the Republic, a nation perpetually at war with its neighbors. Born into an elite family in one of the Republic’s wealthiest districts, fifteen-year-old June is a prodigy being groomed for success in the Republic’s highest military circles. Born into the slums, fifteen-year-old Day is the country’s most wanted criminal. But his motives may not be as malicious as they seem.

From very different worlds, June and Day have no reason to cross paths—until the day June’s brother, Metias, is murdered and Day becomes the prime suspect. Caught in the ultimate game of cat and mouse, Day is in a race for his family’s survival, while June seeks to avenge Metias’s death. But in a shocking turn of events, the two uncover the truth of what has really brought them together, and the sinister lengths their country will go to keep its secrets.
