Mini Movie Reviews. (Because I’m too lazy for long reviews)

Hey guys,

Over the past couple days, I have decided to venture out from my house and experience the world. Me being the movie buff that I am, over the holidays whenever my parent’s suggested we go out, I always chose to go see a movie.

This resulted in this post today, enjoy!

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle

Jumanji: Welcome to the jungle surpassed my expectations TEN FOLD! Going into the movie, I was a bit apprehensive.

Another movie with Dwayne Johnson?

But after seeing it my opinion changed a ton. From the trailer, It made me think that this would be a solo movie with sidekicks, fortunately, it ended up becoming a group project and became a HIGHLY enjoyable movie. Each of the actors brings their A game, and it ends up WORKING! The only thing that bothers me about this movie was the cheesiness. While that is the route the movie is going for, trying to let it play for laughs, I believe that they could have taken this more seriously and raise the stakes a bit higher.

The Greatest Showman

Combining the magic of the circus, and celebrating diversity in all things, The Greatest Showman conveys many interesting themes through the course of the movie. With an AMAZING CAST (Zach Efron, Zendaya, Hugh Jackman, Michelle Williams) and STUNNING music, we follow the story of PT Barnum and the creation of the first circus. In the end, this ended up making my top 10 favorite movies of 2017, and I would gladly go see it again.

Coco

While I did see Coco a while back, I thought it’d be good to squeeze a short review about it while it’s still in the back of my mind. As a personal fan of Disney and Pixar movies, I went into this movie a bit apprehensive. Skeletons and guitars just sounded weird, but I tried to be positive because it was a “Pixar movie”, and everybody LOVES Pixar movies. I got my popcorn, I got my soda, and I settled in nervously hoping that it would be good. IT ENDED UP BEING BEAUTIFUL! The story was perfect! The animation was beautiful, and the surprise twist was TOTALLY UNEXPECTED. Even now, I still can’t believe it happened in a Disney movie, and I am glad that it was addressed!

  1. You just reminded me that there were a bunch of movies I wanted to see! Oh well. Perhaps I’ll wait to check them out of the library. I really want to see Coco now, though, since you say the animation is beautiful.

  3. Ooh, good! I love animated films and I’m always disappointed if they aren’t beautiful. I was also confused because we just had The Book of the Dead, but I assume this film is sufficiently different!

  4. Those movies all sound awesome!!! Especially The Greatest Showman and Coco. I like the mini reviews, especially when you’re short on time.

I watched the MsMojo youtube channel and found out the plot twist in Coco without watching it xD
